English for Pharmacy Department Student in a Private University in Indonesia: A Need Analysis

This study analyzes the needs of pharmacy students in a private university for English Specific Purposes (ESP) Indonesia. The data were gathered through semi-structural interviews based on determining themes with eight selected who completed course, lecturer specific purposes, and supported by document analysis ESP syllabus department. Data was conducted interactive collection, reduction, presentation, conclusion or verification. result showed that department wants to have speaking academic writing skills using within limited course meetings one semester. A variety teaching strategies been implemented big classroom. However, students’ mastery varies, learning sources lacking vocabulary.
